Why Hydrogen is a Gas Saver

This is an example of a hydrogen gas saver that electrolyzes water and injects the resulting hydrogen and oxygen into the vehicle’s intake. The result in an increase in gas mileage, torque, and with the benefits of decreased emissions.

These devices can be refered to as hydrogen generators, hydrogen boosters or HHO devices as well. These hydrogen gas savers are based upon simple electrolysis of water meaning splitting the hydrogen from the oxygen. This is not new technology, in actuality these hydrogen gas saver has actually been around for years, most noteably a device from Stan Meyers in the early 80′s whcih he demonstrated by running a dune buggy on nothing buy water using his Hydrogen gas saver type engine.

Now because of the current rise in gasoline prices there have been a flood of products to the market that claim to be hydrogen gas savers. Now I will mention a few products that have been well tested and are recommended by all of us here at hho-gas.org.

First off there are E-Books available that fully document how to create your own hydrogen gas saver unit. (We actually used the following guide for our own device)

- Water4Gas is highly recommended. The author Ozzie Freedom has extensive knowledge about these kits and will show you the very best and safest way to add one to your car.

If you don’t want to create a hydrogen gas saver yourself, your in luck because there are a few units available to purchase. One such unit we bought was from Punch HHO systems. We used the 1.0 model and installing was simple enough for our mechanichs. If you don’t have qualified auto repair experience it may be best to seek one out.

Here are a couple of good videos that show first how massive amounts of hydrogen can be produced from water and second what this looks like under the hood. With gasoline prices the way they are, many people are taking it into their own hands to save gas now rather than waiting for the Big 6 automakers or oil companies to get around to it. Most people just don’t know that this option is available.

As the two heat exchangers from the Ergenics apparatus are immersed into the two buckets, the temperature differential drives a turbine, powering a generator that powers the light. Ergenics is developing a metal hydride heat engine that converts the energy from hot liquid (eg solar hot water) into electricity for an estimated cost of about 1¢ per kilowatt hour. For example, solar panels produce hot water which is pumped to a hydrogen compressor that compresses a gas that is then expanded in a hydraulic motor-generator set that produces electricity. The unit has since been removed due to the following: Electrolysis units production vary wildly with temperature, and getting solid A/F ratio's in nearly impossible because of this. electrolysis either uses toxic chemicals or produce toxic gas when using baking soda. Modify the O2 sensor to work better with hydrogen gas. Apply the correction voltage to the first O2 sensor before the catalytic converter only. The second sensor should have a very low voltage . The first should read a higher voltage which would indicated to the computer that hydrocarbons and oxygen are present in the exhaust. A conceptual model of a very efficient (possibly over-unity) energy system for the home. At its base, is the water fuel cell, which acts as both a high-efficiency water electrolyzer using no catalysts, but acts also as a fuel cell, when combined with the Electron Extraction Circuit (EEC). In this combination, the water fuel cell produces an electrical current by extracting the free electrons that are thrown off once the hydrogen & oxygen atoms are broken from the covelant bonds of the two H atoms. Both a charged gas, called HHO (or hydroxy gas), and an electrical current are produced with the water fuel cell. The HHO gas is a fully combustible compound that is perfect for combustion applications. This is a very interesting concept. Sure, it takes the battery to create the energy to break down the water, but the battery is charged by the alternator. I guess the measure of success would be does the addition of Brown’s gas to the combustion mixture make for higher gas mileage?

While it doesn’t pick a winner, it does cover a lot of ground.

This is almost turning into an urban legend. Everybody has a friend or friend of a friend, but not company has been willing to submit to a 3rd party test.

In response to a comment I made on another blog about this very topic, I got a reply full of complaints about how much testing costs, etc.

If I were selling a product with such wonderful claims, I would be willing to spend the time and money to demonstrate it really works. That’s just good business.

I agree with you on that point.

The reason I started this site was because of the first impression results I saw from a test unit that a buddie of mine installed. I am not a mechanic so I can’t provide any results I was just floored about the technology and decided to look into it further. This site makes me research and stay on top of if all this is real or hoax.

The fuel heater in the image above looks suspiciously like a SCAM device being sold through Hydrogen-Boost website.

I bought one and I can tell you that it will not work on ANY vehicle that I have ever seen.

I work with Johnathan Goodwin and Uli Kruger who have been testing a new design for an HOD unit that will be Computer controlled.

Uli has done extensive testing on HHO/HOD units and looks to have overcome most if not all of the shortcomings of the typical devices either from manuals or kits on the Internet.

Mileage increases on a 3.0 L diesel down in Australia was in the 27% – 37% range. None have been validated on large displacement engines here in the U.S. yet, but we are getting ready to validate a dual canister setup on a 6.6L Duramax diesel we are putting into an H2 Hummer.

Even today with gas prices back down to were people are comfortable, HHO gas convertion is really a great idea.
Not only does it save money from buying as much gas but it also gives you the feeling that your doing something about (your) economy. And not waiting for the government to do something. and the more people start doing things for themselves, The better their lives will become.
