3 Must Have Essential Oils in Your Medicine Cabinet
Presently, we are overwhelmed with choices to rid our aches and pains, colds and flu, upset stomachs, diarrhea, allergies and so on. Between TV commercials and drug stores we have way too many choices!
These medications can be expensive and why are there so many choices?
We can surely waste a lot of time in the drug store searching for the perfect remedy. Reading label after label and hoping we don’t suffer any funky side effects.
The solution to wasting time at the drug store trying to find the right medication is using therapeutic grade essential oils. And by the way, you won’t have any wacky side effects from essential oils.
For thousands of years, essential oils have been used as medicine. And now, the rediscovery of true aromatherapy is helping thousand of people in miraculous ways.
I feel so fortunate to have access to the healing power of essential oils. I’d be a mess without them!
Please know that I’m not suggesting you stop any prescription medications you might be taking. Those are very important for your health. Always consult with your doctor before stopping or lowering your dose.
To help lower a fever fast: Use 3 drops of peppermint essential oil on each foot. This remedy works great! This is great for children. Please dilute the essential oil in a drop of organic olive oil if applying it to kids under two. Along with fevers, peppermint essential oil can work wonders for stomach aches, indigestion, stuffy noses, focus, concentration and healing bug bites. You can easily replace about 6 different medications with a bottle of peppermint essential oil.
To combat allergies: Use 1 drop of lavender essential oil on your cheek bones and below your nose. This will help clear your sinuses. Lavender essential oil is a natural antihistamine. Lavender essential oil is most know for it’s relaxing properties. But it can also cleanse wounds and cuts, heal sun burned skin and prevent scars. One bottle of Lavender essential oil can easily replace numerous medications.
For Joint Pain: Rub a few drops of an essential oil blend called PanAway on sore joints, as needed. This blend has helped me with back pain more times than I can count! PanAway essential oil blend contains; wintergreen (Gaultheria procumbens), helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), clove (Syzygium aromaticum) and peppermint (Mentha piperita.) This blend is also helpful to relieve muscle soreness associated with exercising. By using PanAway, you’re able to replace over-the-counter muscle rubs and even common pain reliever pills.
Therapeutic grade essential oils can give you the same results as common medications. What they won’t give you is the wacky side effects. A word to the wise, always use therapeutic grade essential oils when your dealing with your health and healing needs. A low quality essential oil will not offer you any therapeutic value.
